Lippincott & Margulies Expands Its
East Coast Operations

New partners Lynne O'Connor and Eliot Phillips Will Broaden Research and Interactive Offerings

New York, October 15, 2001

Lippincott & Margulies, the leading identity and brand strategy consulting firm, today announced the appointments of Lynne O'Connor and Eliot Phillips. Adding to Lippincott & Margulies' extensive brand strategy and research capabilities, O'Connor will be joining the firm in its Boston office as a partner specializing in the areas of brand valuation and strategy, strategic research and customer relationship management (CRM). Phillips is joining as a partner in the New York office with an expertise in web design, strategic marketing, integrated communications, user experience strategy, and online branding.

After graduating from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, O'Connor was an assistant brand manager at the Procter & Gamble Company. Since 1986 she has been with Mercer Management Consulting focusing on strategic marketing. Some clients include Fidelity Investments, General Motors, Compaq Computer, American Red Cross and GTE.

"Having a deep foundation in consumer research, Lynne will provide a substantial addition to our analytical capabilities," said Ken Roberts, chairman and chief executive officer of Lippincott & Margulies.

Eliot Phillips joins Lippincott & Margulies with more than twenty years of experience in the professional services and marketing communications industry. Most recently, he was the chief eStrategy officer and managing director of the User Experience practice at BusinessEdge Solutions, a New York-based professional services and systems integration firm specializing in transactional B2B e-commerce solutions for the communications and financial services industries.

Phillips has also served in senior positions at several leading corporate identity firms including Siegelgale, Pentagram Design Services, Interbrand (formerly Schechter Group), and Phillips Design Group. Some clients include American Express, AT&T, Citigroup, CIT, CSFB, EDS, IBM, and Reebok.

"Eliot will direct our electronic media practice and broaden our design strategy and content development capabilities," stated Roberts.
